I need to understand what makes up a thriller film to film the best possible opening. A thriller must contain intense excitement, suspense, provide thrills and keep the audience cliff-hanging at the 'edge of their seats'. I believe to achieve making a successful thriller it needs to contain tension and mystery. We can see all of these in successful thrillers. These conventions helo the audience be able to tell what genre a film is.
Frequesnt themes of a thriller often include terrorism, political conspiracy, pursuit, or romantic triangles leading to murder.
